I spent this morning installing a new theme for articlesnatch blog. I hope you enjoy it. In the process I tried to remove some of the other clutter as well. Some things were moved to the footer and we also implemented a tabbed system in the sidebar.
I used a theme called “options” from Justin Tadlock – its a great theme – best of all – free. There are several pre built color themes setup with this theme, right now I picked the dark theme, but I might switch back to something that is lighter.
I have taken this time to update a few other plugins as well as tweak the cache system. Hopefully everything will be running a lot smoother than before. If you have any issues, please let me know.
Where did you learn to edit themes. I have found several themes that are very *close* to being perfect. But what one lacks the other has. Sadly I can’t edit them beyond a very basic level. Is there a tutorial that you could recommend?

I just mainly had to do some small changes to the css file, setup the widgets the way I wanted them, and place the translator bar in the theme.
as for a specific tutorial – unfortunately I can’t really say. but I would suggest that if you do have one that is close, then set it up on a test site and start playing around with it.
Personally, I like the theme. The dark theme is really easy on the eyes. I don’t know what other color schemes come with the theme but I like this one.
Its nice but personally i dnt like dark themes !!

@ankit – I’m still deciding. I like some and hate others. one site was so black you couldn’t tell where anything was.
I recently just did a new theme on my site as well – it is a lot of work! I had considered using this one as well, so I definitely have to say I like it!! I thought something looked different since the last time I visited!!

It’s a very clean theme, and easy to read. I tend to drift more to the themes that have a little more color. Gaudy some would say;) But, like they say, different strokes for different folks.

I dont understand where these people come up with so many stuff like these! This is really good and i think that they should keep it coming, i hope they are simple themes too. I dont like flashy ones that much.
