This is the newsletter we just sent out.
I just wanted to say thanks for your continued contributions to articlesnatch – it helps to make the site what it is today.
We have continued to make improvements to the site as the days go by and we have a new design coming out as well. If you have any suggestions please send them over to us at our contact page.
I was shown something on friday that I think is going to change the internet advertising industry. This is going to give publishers a way of getting paid for every visitor to their site, not just the ones who click the ads. Best of all advertisers will be able to place extremely geo targetted and subject targeted ads for a great price.
So what is this new technology?
Pay Per Play! http://viralurl.com/mjesales/PayPerPlay
So how does it work – well publishers will just place a line of javascript code on their site, which communicates with the networks servers – and then when a person comes to the page they hear a 5 second audio ad that the advertiser recorded. I heard one for taco bell the other day and it was effective and extremely non intrusive!
I was so shocked after I heard one – that I decided to call up and talk to the owner of the company. He explained to me some of the research and the design of how this all works. Best of all – he explained how they can target the ads based on subject matter and location. It is just amazing.
So why am I telling you about it – well for one thing – I think your website would benefit from being a publisher. But there is also a small referral commission as well built in – based on your earnings as a publisher.

Niche Video Site Builder v2.0 out!
http://viralurl.com/mjesales/niche-video-site
I just got an email from JP Schoeffel saying that V2.0 of this software is out already – instead of the scheduled January 2008. I was surprised. Last week when I sent out an email about this – I know it said that you had to purchase ASAP as they were only putting it on sale for a few days. Hopefully you got your copy then and you already read the email about V2.0 being released. But if you didn’t, then now is your chance.
I have looked at several software packages to build these types of sites. This one is simple to use and you can use it on as many sites as you want. It includes a few things in the templates like links to social bookmarks etc, but you can easily customize all of these to use the services you prefer. Personally I use addthis and onlywire – so those buttons always get put on sites I build with it.

Video Traffic Assistant
I have been getting a lot of emails lately promoting different video submitting software. I have used this one since July and it works great for me. After you setup your accounts – you just load the accounts, pick the file, pick the category and hit go. The VTA software will then go about uploading the file to each of the sites you selected. You can get it free – or upgrade to the pro version and submit to more sites.

Either way you look at it – its a great way to build your brand and get some more links back to your site.

You can subscribe to the RSS feed or just drop by and read it every now and then. Feel free to leave comments (no junk please). All of the comments are dofollow and there is a plugin that pulls the most recent post on your blog – and puts a link to it on our blog when you leave a comment.

I bet you thought I was done… well almost.
Next time you submit an article – go to the article page – you probably got an email with a link directly to it. Then look at the bottom of the article and there is a button that says “onlywire” – click on that. Register at Onlywire (free) – and you can bookmark your articles and other sites you want to save to over 15 social bookmark sites with 1 click. This is the easiest and fastest site I have ever seen to quickly save your bookmarks all over.
I have used onlywire for quite some time now and I love it. It saves me a lot of time and is great for sharing your bookmarks. After you submit an article its a good idea to bookmark it and let others know about your article.

I’m glad I came across your blog. I think your right about this Pay Per Play ads changing the industry. Really cool stuff. Thanks for sharing!
Kevin’s last blog post..Creative Gift Ideas For Your Girlfriend
Pay per Ads are very good just because of the following reason.
We don’t need our visitors to click on anything or buy anything.
Another thing we don’t need to divert traffic.
If done in a systematic manner they can slowly over take adwords
I would find audio advertising on a site very offputting…particularly if the ads are overcompressed to sound louder than everything else you might be listening to, as happens on TV.
@Kevin – I think it will be great.
@music tech – You should listen to them. they are not overcompressed – they are actually equalized so that they are not too loud or too quiet. They only spent 3 years making sure that what you mention specifically won’t happen. I would have replied to your name… but you didn’t leave it.
The navigation bar on the left of the page is super annoying and makes the site load slow
I use Niche Video Site Builder v2.0 out! on my 35 sites very nice scripts only one proublme we face on our some site only 2 or 3 videos show but any way this is very mice scripts

I’ve been hearing a lot about this PPP thing, and I’m going to have to check more into it. Thanks for the great blog post!
Kelly B’s last blog post..Last Minute Gift Ideas
First time reading about PPP as well and it does sound like an awesome idea
@Justin – what page – what site – everything loads fine now…
@NewsBlog – thats good to know. I had the same problem depending on the keyword.
@kelly – yes it should be great. They are going to be going through a silent period to have their reach auditted for the next few weeks. I.e. no ads played.
@Matt – it really is.
I have read somewhere about pay per play! it’s a very good idea. i might sign up for it in the future =)
Free iPhone’s last blog post..Hello world!
glad i found this site, great info! and the sidebar thing is really cool : )
I have also just read about Pay per play. It’s a great way to monetize blogs since visitors no need to click or pay per thousand impresssion that requires lots of traffic.
The problem that I have is “Will it annoy my readers?” I notice people get annoyed by audio ads especially they talk about it all over the forums.
Will I lose my readers if I use PPP?
Thanks for reading my comment and question!
Alex Liu’s last blog post..The Secret Quote By Most Millionaires
Glad you like what you see about PayPerPlay
@John – Glad to hear it.
@Alex – Obviously testing would be the answer to your question. For right now they are just playing silence as a means of recording listenership across the network. However since the ads will be targeted based on the content of your page and the geo location of the viewer – I doubt they will really annoy anyone.
great infos at your blog about PPP. but nobody can make a different between PPP and normal links.
seoline’s last blog post..Gefahren großer Suchmaschinen wie Google
WOW pay per play idea looks great but my concern is will it take a lot of time to load or will it consume a lot of bandwidth…..does this ad will be played automatically?Anyways your newsletter is great
I love how they don’t divert traffic. So cool!
:O)
@ch – You are confused about what PPP means in this context – it is PayPerPlay – it has nothing to do with links.
@Rajan – I had the same concern – I spoke with one of the founders Larry Host about it – you can place the script so it loads last on your page. If your server and their server don’t connect in 1 second, it just stops trying. the Bandwidth comes from their servers which are very fast and deliver the file quickly. It does get played automatically – and only once per 3 minutes.
@LSU – yes its great.
I did try PPP but it did not work well. I never got to see the output or display.
